The STEM program is designed to provide underrepresented students with an innovative approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning experiences to increase awareness of careers in STEM disciplines. The students are given the opportunity to perform science demonstrations, hands-on experiences through real-life scenario that allow them to use problem solving, discovery, exploratory project/problem-based learning, and student-centered development of ideas and solutions. Our STEM program will allow youth to be exposed to different careers with an emphasis on scientific research, in an approach that will help them to prepare and equip them to become stronger candidates for college science programs. The STEM program was launched 2015.
